Hey everyone and welcome to the blog! As a prospective sports journalist it's important for me to start blogging so I can be prepared for the ever changing landscape of journalism. Although I am mainly focused on becoming a sports broadcaster both on television and radio, I also hope to gain recognition for a blog as well.
You may be asking yourself, "Why do I care what some college kid has to say about anything?" Well I can't blame you for questioning the use of your valued time to read this usually senseless rant. The point of this blog is for my own education as well as your entertainment.
While reading this blog you'll find that I present a unique and unusual point of view about sports and sometimes society as a whole. I will try to combine the humor of ESPN.com's Bill Simmons (aka the Sports Guy) along with the unique and sometimes strange observations and predictions of ESPN's Skip Bayless. I know it's not very modest to say but I do believe my predictions tend to be right a fair amount of the time, well at least as much as any of the so-called experts and analysts on ESPN. There is no method to my madness, but let me assure you that soon enough you'll see my madness as well as my senseless and stubborn observations as a welcome change from the usual dribble you get from the so-called experts at the major networks.
If you've made it this far through the post then I've got to say you've got a much higher attention span than myself, that or you really have too much time on your hands. I will do my best to post on the blog a minimum of once a day, hopefully more.
